Join us for the annual men's retreat.

The Men of St. Joseph and Stella Maris Family of Parishes are happy to present the 2025 Men’s Retreat featuring Msgr. Frank Lane and Nick Clune.

Note: The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 9:30-10:30AM and again during the lunch break.

Registration for the Men's Retreat

Tickets for the Feb. 1 Men's Retreat at St. Mary Church in Bethel, OH are $25/adult or $10/student. Members of the clergy are free! Tickets include admission, coffee/donuts, and lunch.

Meet the presenters.

Msgr. Lane is a life-long Catholic. He earned his M.A., University of Innsbruck, Austria and was ordained a priest in 1967. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. He has been a pastor, military chaplain, college chaplain, teacher (high school, college & seminary), writer, and translator. He is a retired priest of the Diocese of Columbus, where he currently serves as parish administrator of St. John the Baptist and Sacred Heart parishes.

Nick is a husband and father. He grew up in a small farm town in Ohio (Coldwater, OH) where he met and married his wife, Renee, in 2018. They and their 2 boys now live in the Dayton area. Nick has experience as a missionary and 7 years of working in parish ministry. He is a certified Mentor and Partner with the CatholicPsych Institute. He has a passion for helping men fully embrace their potential as they navigate the challenges of fatherhood and married life. Nick founded Crafted for More, a mentorship practice for men, to help men escape the snares of mediocrity and become the men they are meant to be.

Brad is the Director of Evangelization of the Stella Maris Family of Parishes. He is a former catechist at St. Gertrude Church in Madeira and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio. Completed his undergraduate studies in English and Theology, and MA in Theology and Christian Ministries at Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a PhD in Theology at the University of Notre Dame Australia.

Who does God say I am?

Who are we? Who is a human being? What does it mean to be a man? Every generation grapples with such questions. Our own is no different. In fact, confusion about identity lurks around every cultural corner. We live in a world that has refashioned God in our own image and after our likeness. But, in the beginning it was not so. God made us in his image, after his likeness. Therefore, in the face of uncertainty, we invite each man to turn to the Lord and ask: Who does God say I am? The 2025 Men’s Retreat will invite men to consider their deepest questions about identity and invite them to an encounter Christ, the one who fully reveals man to himself.
