House of Beer: A Catholic Workshop for Men

Is this a workshop, a retreat, or just hanging out with the guys? We’re not really sure. But we do know it will be fun and informative. Join brothers-in-law Brad and Kelly for a day all about beer. Learn how to brew your own beer at home, get a sense of the Catholic Church’s history of beer making, and discover the artistry behind good beer from a nationally acclaimed brewer. Plus, we’ll eat some great food all day long.

Looking for a deeper understanding of what’s going on in the celebration of the Mass? Join us for this unique teaching Mass at St. Bernadette Church.
A native of Georgetown, Ohio, Fr. Tim studied Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati and went on to seminary at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary. He was ordained a priest on May 22, 2010. Fr. Tim served as Parochial Vicar of St. Charles Borromeo in Kettering and Holy Trinity, St. Mary, and St. Anthony in Coldwater. In 2017 he was named Pastor of St. Bernadette in Amelia, and Stella Maris in 2022.
Dave Staples is an instructor for School of Faith in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.Dave studied English Literature at Michigan State University (MSU), and eventually went on to receive a Masters in Theology, studying Sacred Scripture at the Augustine Institute in Denver, CO.
This event will take place in St. Bernadette Church. Note that we will be celebrating Holy Mass like usual. However, there will be brief pauses within the celebration of the liturgy and Dave Staples will provide teaching at those times. No registration needed.
