About Us

Our Mission

Encounter Jesus.

Our mission is that simple, to help everyone encounter Jesus. Stella Maris exists for our parishioners and for all who live within our boundaries, that they might personally know the love of God through Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Unlock a new horizon.

We want the Catholic Church in southern Clermont County to grow vibrantly.

In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus says, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15). This land is the little part of the “whole world” entrusted to us and we intend to open a new horizon for the people who live here.

“In facing [challenges posed by today’s society], the Church does not give up or retreat into herself; instead, she undertakes a project to revitalize herself. She makes the Person of Jesus Christ and a personal encounter with him central to her thinking, knowing that he will give his Spirit and provide the force to announce and proclaim the Gospel in new ways which can speak to today's cultures.”

Our Core values

We are simply catholic.

Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.”

Eucharistic Devotion

The Eucharist is the source and summit of all our efforts. Encountering Jesus’ real presence moves us from communion to mission, and back to communion again.

Radical Openness

We are docile to the Holy Spirit and committed to the spiritual life. Every member of Stella Maris has been entrusted by God with an unrepeatable role in his mission – and gifted for it.

Committed Solidarity

Every member of the community has inestimable dignity. We tend to the needs of the materially and spiritually poor — from conception to natural death.

Faithful
Teaching

We teach the contents of the faith that have been handed on to us by the Church in her Tradition and Scripture.

Give to Stella Maris

Your gift to Stella Maris helps the Catholic Church to carry out its mission of helping people encounter Jesus across Southern Clermont County. This mission cannot be accomplished without your generous support.
